SharePoint Designer

Location: Montreal

We are looking for a SharePoint resource with practical experience and best practices in solutions development.

Responsibilities

  • Design, document, develop and implement appropriate technical solutions based on the architecture
  • Act as a consultant with systems analysts during the development, configuration and software design phases
  • Review the programming code to ensure that development standards are respected and compatible with the software, analysis and design, following best practices related to documentation
  • Work with functional analysts to develop specifications in order to improve the understanding of the solution
  • Ensure the quality and stability of IT systems implemented by the detailed analysis, design and implementation
  • Paticipate in test scenarios and automated tests, in order to validate their own operation
  • Develop unit tests and ensure their smooth operation. Repair defects before migrating to QA group and involvement in system implementation between environments
  • Develop and analyze designs and technical specifications that meet the functional specifications of a project


Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years experience in IT
  • Knowledge and practical experience with Microsoft SharePoint
  • Knowledge of MOSS 2010, an advantage
  • Microsoft SharePoint Certification, an advantage
  • Excellent programming skills in .Net and very good understanding of the unique aspects of SharePoint
  • Working knowledge of SQL 2008 and “Visual Studio Programming”
  • Ability to maintain a relationship of trust with business partners
  • Autonomy, initiative, organizational skills and demonstrated leadership
  • Bilingualism and excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies
  • Ability to learn and apply new methods in order to achieve organizational goals
