Change and Release Management Specialist

We are currently looking for a Change and Release Management Specialist to perform a mandate with one of our clients in Montreal.
Context :
Manages, leads and assesses the business impact of ongoing change within projects through analysis and diagnostics of functional areas impacted (organisation), processes (current and the future/to-be), roles and responsibilities, communication and training requirements. Ensures that the necessary behaviour, skills and commitment are aligned to foster a seamless implementation of the change to meet project objectives with minimal disruption to the business. Manages on a monthly basis the operational approval and release of a portfolio of small projects of variable technical, functional and operational complexity, with low to medium impact, that are aimed at improving existing procedures and systems and are designed to increase overall capacity.
Responsibilities :
- Works closely with and reports progress to Programme Change Manager, Project Manager, Project Team, IT Release Manager and the Portfolio Sponsor to ensure that:
o Impact assessment of the proposed change/business outcome has the material, human and financial resources allocated for a seamless adoption of the change in a timely manner to meet all project objectives.
o To ensure that the operational review, estimate and acceptance of each project within the portfolio has been undertaken.
o Approves and communicates the contents of the monthly business release of changes.
o Works cross-functionally with various Business Units to ensure proper alignment of change initiative. Assesses business risks and implements solutions to meet business objectives.
- Manages the Operational Committees with appropriate representation from the impacted business (functional areas); leads the Operational Committee Meetings and keeps all impacted stakeholders informed throughout the project.
- Provides efficient project management of the activities detailed in the change management plan. Determines and leads the activities required to complete the change, assigns suitable resources (change agents) and produces regular status reports for Programme Change Manager, Project Manager, Project Sponsors and Operational Committees.
- Monitors and controls the quality of deliverables according to the company’s Change Management methodology best practice standards and institutes appropriate action plans to ensure change management activities are within scope, budget and schedule.
Requirements :
- University degree + (5) years of relevant experience in business change and release management
- ITIL Foundations, PMP and Business Change Management Certifications would be an asset.
- Candidate must demonstrate above average collaboration, facilitation and communication skills as well as the ability to manage responsibilities with minimum supervision.
